Our story

Hi, I'm Emily.

Pawkira started on my living room floor, with a nine-year-old golden retriever named Max who had stopped jumping on the couch.

The vet said it was normal aging. I didn't accept "normal". I spent weeks reading studies, comparing labels and calling brands. What I found was frustrating: long ingredient lists padded with fillers, vague doses, and prices that had nothing to do with what was inside.

So I did what any slightly obsessive pet parent would do. I started making it myself.

Simple formulas. Ingredients with real evidence behind them. Serving sizes that make sense for a 12-pound cat and a 90-pound dog. And a taste test judged by the toughest critics in the house: Max, and our cat Olive, who refuses anything that isn't excellent.

Max got his couch back. Friends started asking what I was giving him. Pawkira was born.
